iOS 12.2 fixes the Apple Pay issue

iOS 12.2 is currently still in beta, there is a public beta available which you can get by going to beta.apple.com.

The final version of iOS 12.2 should be released to everyone on March 25, on the same day as Apple's rumored event.

I have the beta installed on my phone and I don't have the Apple Pay screen popup when I put my phone on the Wireless Charger. My wife's phone, which is still on 12.1, does popup the Apple Pay screen when she puts hers.

My iDrive version is .65, if that makes a difference.

Looks like it! I'm not sure if the iDrive update had anything to do with it though, I think I updated to iOS 12.2 on the same day I got the car updated.

Maybe someone on version .49 can update their phone and let us know?

I have idrive .65 and new 12.2 beta 4. When I put iPhone xs on charging cradle it stays off however if I touch the screen, the apple pay is still there and I have to swipe up to disable it.

I'm more interested in the real benefit that might be in 12.2 - support for digital keys. It could be that they fixed it by implementing the NFC key standard needed, and an update to ConnectedDrive would be coming out support phone as key.

Just a thought, purely speculation.

I have to hope that 12.2 gives some relief since Apple Pay comes on whenever I have Waze active with the iPhone X in the charging tray.

I clear it when starting a drive but lately it seems that any time I stop now at an intersection that Apple Pay comes back and takes over the iPhone.
