Dash Cam installed....

Just some photos of the panels removed. Quite easy to do.

A-Piller cover has one screw located under the "Air Bag" tag that pries off easily. Then there are three snaps. Just carefully fold back the door gasket and move the a-piller cover inward and un-snap. The bottom edge slides out of the lateral dash.

The side panel at the end of the dash has 4 clips. Probably overkill for such a small panel, and it's held in place by that same gasket. I just opened enough to run the wires.

The rear seat side bolsters comes out very easily, it has three plastic legs that line up when you put it back in. There are easy to see spots where those legs go. It just slides in.

The plastic door sill trim is easy to pry up with your fingers and tuck the wire under it along the floor.

I ran a long USB to micro USB wire also to use to power my Go Pro when used. I ran it to the arm rest since there is a USB port (and cigarette lighter ) there.

Sweet! I forgot about our USB ports for powering a camera. I had to use a voltage regulator on the motorcycles to get the 5V power.

Just read your second post also, very helpful, thanks.

I would love a dash cam but my escort 360 already takes up so much room. I'd like to find something that will fit in front of it and sort of be completely hidden.

Good job by the way and thanks for sharing the write up.

I wish they were smaller. You know separate the major components from the camera and have the guts under the dash or the like with a small yet 4K camera on the windows. But know one makes such a unit yet.

Finished cleaning up wires today, took down rear high stop light cover to better place wire in the rear. Also finished routing the USB wire to the arm rest console. Was a bit of a pita to get the large USB end into the arm rest section, so I had to pull the rear A/C control panel off to do it.

Had to add this photo....
