Hotspot issues

Anyone having issues with getting the Hotspot to work? I signed up for the free 3GB trial with AT&T and my phone connects to the car's wi-fi but there is no internet connection. Any ideas?

You need to go to internet hotspot in the iDrive to connect a device. It's not the same as your phone automatically connecting to the car via Bluetooth or WiFi (Apple CarPlay).

There is only one SSID broadcasting from the car that is visible "BMW-followed by the last few digits of the vin." Is it possible it's hidden and I have to add it manually? This also for iDrive 7.0
