Vendors: Release the Mods!

Where all the mods at? lol

Lease was up on the F80 so I grabbed a G20 330i while I await the New M3 next year. Been looking and cannot find literally ANYTHING yet aftermarket. I know its new but typically, Vendors have mods out right away if not before the car even comes out.

Anyone got any leads on stuff yet? Suspension, Downpipes, good tunes? Just curious.

Loving the New Chassis btw, Leaps and bounds better then the ol F30 Chassis (comparing my old F30 340 to this G20 330i, not my F80).

How are they going to release anything before doing R&D and making sure it's compatible with the new platform? Offer your car to the vendors for testing and maybe they'll offer you a nice discount on anything you buy.

Jb4 and new bootmod flash for B48 might work.

M340i-specific drivetrain mods are going to be nonexistent for at least the next few months since it's just been released to market.

I just heard from Leslie at VRSF that they should have a downpipe for the 330 in the next 5-6 weeks👍🏼

=PTF claims bm3 will work on the new M340i so there's that.

I would like to see some wheels and a drop to make it look more aggressive.

Is this a facetious question? Seems like it given your word usage.

But in case there are those genuinely wondering - yes you can mod a leased car with wheels, cosmetics, exhaust parts, etc. Just gotta return it with stock parts. Understand that tampering with the ECU or doing anything that would cause BMW to deny a warranty coverage will get you in trouble

So you rent (lease) for 2 years, spend money on parts and then have to take them all off before returning the car back? Was just curious, carry on.

Rent? You mean lease?

If you are ok with potentially voiding your warranty, just like with anything. But generally speaking no. I had hybrid turbos, running full E85 on my F80. They still worked on it.

Sure do! Then you sell them! And make money back

But given your condescending and pseudo intellectual tone, I'm gonna take a very educated guess and say you probably knew that. I'm not sure what your issue is with leasing, but clearly you've got some. Leasing vs. financing vs. outright purchase has been debated for ages now, but I love the fact that you think you can come into an online forum and convince the thousands of people that do lease that their decision is dumb with sly, condescending remarks aimed to belittle them and their intelligence keep fighting the good fight brother; I'm sure you'll change the world and rid it of leasing once and for all soon enough.

Leasing is a great option for many, as is financing. And for those that have the capital to buy without paying interest via full payment upfront - good for you! It's all about how you want to use and invest your money.

No fight to fight or condescending. I'm just puzzled that someone would mod a car they're renting unless you're definitely buying it at the end of the lease and that's a way to stretch the term and payments.
It's like renting a house and building a deck and garage onto it

Seems odd to me too, but I think about it slightly differently. I'm puzzled why someone intending to modify their car would choose to lease. Leasing contracts don't exactly lend themselves to modifying the car.
