so i reviewd way too soon.. i talked really good about bootmod3 up intill it became a nightmare

non stop problems ever since i installed the flash smh.

it went from small sputters on part throttle to small backfires to the point i flash it back to sock because it felt like shit and then them sending me a new map to try it out and once i add that map my car just completly disliked it and ever since then i just cannot figure out whats going on with my car it went from a misfire on cylinder 6 to now being a missfire on cylinder 1 and i just have no idea whats wrong

i changed out to A BRANDNEW coil pack and a BRANDNEW injector and still have a missfire on cylinder 1

it has been a HUGE headache since.

these was the last logs i was able to get before my car just completly feels like shit even on idle
horrible idle drivetrain malfunction

Now bootmod3 with a Intake and geeses is a night and day difference even in just stage 1

The burbles are a lot more aggressive

By the way I have a m235i resonator and muffler delete
(M235i resonator is a lot smaller that the stock f30 one)

any ways, this tune is worth every penny no doubt

(I'm just having some issues in low rpm on a 85 degree weather

On low gear and maybe 50% throttle or 60 % I get very very bad sputters and backfires and I throw a lot of black smoke and you can actually here the engine sputtering

What can that be

I'm only on stage 1 by the way )

Soon I would be catless dp again and fmic and go stage 2

Does anyone know what's a safe burble setting with stock cats on?

I might have it too aggressive right now lol they sound very nice

I would check the plugs if you haven't already! Also consider datalogging (you can do this within BM3, just go to dashboard and on the top right hit the LOG button) and check for codes too. You can do this within BM3 as well under the diagnostic tab.

And as far as safe burbles on the stock cat, I would stick with the OEM if you want it to last.

I agree, open a ticket with PTF. Timing is all over the place and the boost seems to be as well

so today i installed my new plugs ngk 97596 and i gapped them at .018
and another thing i realized that there was another flash called acn91 stage 1 so it had me wondering what it was and i guess thats a map for people in arizona californa and nevada something about the octane is a little lower or somthing i dont know much about that but anyways i flashed my car to that flash and the car seems to be running smooth and strong with no sputters and misfires ..

im hoping it stays like that man lol

Im assuming you meant NGK 97506 (or SILZKBR8D8S) ?

Thats what most of us are running.

I decided to leave my gap stock for now. Car runs mint and required no revisions from stock OTS map (stage 1 / 91 octane).

May tighten gap when I go to stage 2.

Make sure to post logs so you can get opinions on whether or not you need a revision on your stage 1 tune. PTF will revise for your specific vehicle, if necessary.

Find some open space without traffic.... a highway on ramp would be perfect...

Make sure to turn DSC OFF (not sure why, but PTF says do it).

START LOG

Switch to manual mode and get yourself into 3rd gear...

Roll at 2,500 RPM in 3rd gear for a couple seconds and stomp on it. Doesnt have to be violent... Just hold that gear until redline... when you want to SHIFT TO FOURTH and basically let the car roll out after that. You dont have to redline through 4th gear as well.

END LOG

Switch back to auto and your good.

Same.

A word to the wise...

When you go to capture a log, it will give you an error message and make you think it didnt record properly.

Dont worry! You can record a few logs like that and as soon as you get home and connect to WiFi, they will appear

I wish I knew that because when I was out ripping the first time... I kept getting the error and got super frustrated until I went home and all my logs magically appeared.

I just flashed BM3 Stage 1 yesterday for the first time so Im just figuring shit out too LOL

how does you car feel as far as power is it a huge huge difference between stage 1 and stock or is it a slight increase

because im starting to not trust this anymore lol i drove the car some more right now and did some hard pulls and geeses christ i honestly feel like the car is over boosting. like the power feels insane like almost not right .

or maybe bootmod3 is that good lol or idk i just feel like i still feel very small misfires but i honestly feel way way too much power for it being stage 1

I haven't really womped on it yet... planning to tomorrow in and around Reno

I wanted to get my logs cleared as being on target before going nutz.

But so far I would just say that the car feels like its running much smoother and pulling much stronger. I was FBO for thousands of miles on stock tune (waiting for warranty to run out) and just generally baby my car so this is definitely a new experience.

Im not going to turn into a drag racer over night but Im sure on ramps, passing people and the odd "half ass street race" are going to be much more fun!

Check your logs to make sure you, in fact - ARE NOT OVER BOOSTING

Just for comparison... Im peaking at 19.4 lbs of boost on Stage 1.

I do have N20 though, not sure if that changes things.

Stage 1 N55 for me is 13.7PSI.

Your timnig doesn't look great and looks like your HPFP is struggling.

Send a few logs to PTF. They are the experts and are super responsive and easy to deal with. Halim edited my tune for me over the past week and it is great....Or let some random guys on a forum guess!

For your logs, make sure you run WOT 2500 RPMs to redline in 3rd gear.

Guess the N20 boosts much harder than the N55. Was not aware.

N20 stock is 16.5 lbs (at 4500 rpm).
