How much time do you have and more importantly how much money?

I can be done but time and money required may change your mind.

You'll need to find an indy willing to get the parts and perform the retrofit.

Attached are the instructions I used. Even though it is for the older CCC, the instructions are still good for CIC.

I can swap the dash and do a full non idrive conversion in about 8 hours. It is not that hard.

Why don't you just leave the dash alone and buy an iPad to strap to it? Way cheaper and you can take it with you...The old idrive sucks anyway and personally I think the base dash looks classy and has not aged like the one with nav.

why would you install an antiquated iDrive or Nav system to your car? This is old technology that doesnt add much in the way of usability or value.

See it as an asset that your car is less susceptible to ageing without the screen.
