Bimmergeek cable not working

I have made several attempts to contact these guys about their cable not working and they have not helped at all. I bought this cable to flash my trans with XHp but it does not recognize my 335D. I have tried with the switch in all positions. I am using a Digiland I pad with a newer Android operating system. It is OTG compatible and other people have used it to. I have tried other USB cables and still no connection. Do I have to download something on the I pad for it to work or is the cable bad. I am really disatisfied with Bimmergeeks, because I emailed them 3 times about this problem and they have not responded. Someone please help.

What? They took off Easter weekend? How dare they?
Try a tablet that didn't come from Walmart.

What do you mean by “I have tried other USB cables and still no connection,” ? If this means what I think—that is, your tablet isn’t working with any USB-based peripheral or cable—then there’s your problem...

I know nothing about this tablet so I can’t be of any help there, but I would suggest trying your cable out with an actual PC and see if it works. My guess is that it will. If that’s the case, I hate to say it but I don’t think it’s BG’s job to provide tech support for a functioning cable.

Rule out the cable, then go from there. Good luck!

Why didn't you buy the Xhp setup for coding.
Why would you expect Bimmergeeks to support another
companys programming setup from a cell phone or tablet.

Call up the source company for Tech support on this.

With a PC using Inpa or ista D the cable doesn't work till you
set up the software and interface . You need to ask Xhp whats
required.

Make sure the cable is actually properly connected. I had to press it hard a few times for a proper connection. It goes on easy now and stays connected.

I can guarantee you its not the cable. How about you do some real troubleshooting before you complain. Plug it on a windows laptop first. It should detect it under COM serial under device manager.

If you see that you know the cable works.

OTG adapters are NOTORIOUS for not working. Most likely where your issue is and i didnt think it works with ipads

As others have said, your process of elimination should be:

Check Bimmergeeks cable on a PC.
If Bimmergeeks cable checks out on PC then try Bimmergeeks cable with OTG cable on your tablet with the following programs
1. XHP - we already know this fails so go to 2...
2. MHD - Do you have this installed on your tablet?
3. Bimmergeeks Protool - Do you have this installed on your tablet?
If none of the above programs work (they are all free to install and test compatibility with your vehicle) then try a different OTG cable. If that new OTG cable still doesn't work, then you need to try a different Android device. If one or two of the programs work on your current device, but XHP still does not work, you can try to work with XHP to find a solution, but more often than not you will just need a different tablet.
I have a LG tablet that refuses to run Bimmergeeks Protool, but runs MHD and XHP just fine. I worked with Bimmergeeks and the only solution was a different device.
When you put out an open platform (Android) for everyone to put their own tweaks and secret sauce on, these are the types of issues and incompatibilities you wind up with.

Garage List
Did you activate developer mode and then enable USB debugging?
It won't work until you do this. Simple process.
