2007/2008 335i MAP/Temp Sensors

It appears the MAP/Temp sensor mounted on the rear intake tube is different for '07-'10 and '11-'16 335i's. Can anyone confirm this?

MY '07 has a sensor with the connect keyed on Pin2. But there is an identical sensor that is keyed on Pin 1, that I'm guessing is correct for the laters cars??

Regards,
Ray L.

Attached is a photo to clarify my confusion here...

I purchased a new MAP sensor, which is the bottom one on the attached photo. The top one is the factory part removed from my car yesterday. Note the differing connector keys - mine is keyed on Pin2, while the new one is keyed on Pin1. I've looked at, literally, DOZENS of ads for these sensors, all over the Internet, and 99% of them show the bottom part for all year '06-'12. So why is my car different? I've found only one or two ads that show a part matching mine, and I have NO faith if I order one, I will receive that actual part.

I'm going to try simply shaving off the key, and installing this new one, but why the difference? Is everyone selling the wrong part? Is my car an oddball?

Regards,
Ray L.

I saved off the connector key on the new sensor, installed it, and .... no joy. After running a few seconds, it throws a manifold pressure sensor over-run error, and the SES comes on.

So, where do I get the CORRECT sensor for my car??

Hopefully someone will be able to help me confirm this....

I believe there are TWO different sensors - one used in 2007-2008, keyed on Pin2. the other used from 2009 forward, keyed on Pin1.

I have found a number of OEM part numbers for these sensors, the most accessible of which is Standard Motor Products. I believe their AS416 is correct for 2007-2008, and their AS 411 is correct for 2008 forward.

Does ANYONE have access to a 2007 or 2008 335i that can confirm the connector keying?

Amazingly, it appears to me almost EVERYONE lists the wrong part for 2007-2008...

Regards,
Ray L.
