X2 M35i mpgs
What are other owners getting for gas mileage? Just took the X2 out on the first highway trip and it got 35.1 going and 30.8 on the return trip - this is per the trip computer...
I was driving between 55 - 80 with most of the driving around 65 - 70. I did notice the average went down with a quickness whenever I got into boost, lol. |

My 2017 WRX with about 281 AWHP (ever so quicker than an X2 M35i) was getting me around 19 MPH, 25 if I really tried hard. My X2 28i (about as quick as a stock WRX), is getting me 25 around town, and 38-40 on long road trips if I really try....quite amazed at BMW efficiency

I have 8 fill ups in. My commute gets me 25mpg and our road trip netted 32.8.
I also kind of doubt the sti is quicker. |

I think a big part of the efficiency and performance is due to the versatility of the 8 speed. You get steep gears for acceleration and long gears for speed/efficiency.
I can cruise at 70 and get better mpg than my old Prius was capable of and reach 100mph before they crack 50. |

My FA20 WRX was faster than a stock STi, twin scroll turbo gave me about 120 ft/lb more at the wheels at 1500 RPM which is rather nuts. I never got to test an M35i vs an STi but an STi can also be made stupid fast with little effort. I want to see what tuned M35is can get

I'm getting 29 MPG right now and that's a mix of city-highway. Currently doing about 70% highway, 30% city.

City is a killer, mostly because it’s so fun to be on boost and mpg drops to about 8. My commute is 50/50 and I lose 4 off your trip.

I'm gonna drive to Chicago in June...6 hour drive for me, I'm gonna test my patience and do the speed limit and hope to get 38-40 MPG in Eco Pro Mode. I'm getting 24-25 with 50/50 city/highway driving right now so I can't imagine I'll have trouble reaching at least 34 MPG

I didn’t use anything but comfort, drove 352 miles to Florida with my wife driving 100 miles with practically a 0 ot 100% throttle when passing, then drove another 130 miles in town and filled up at 14.6 gallons and a total of 482 on the tank and 32.8 average.
I think you will have no issues hitting 35. The best full tank I ever got in the x1 was 30.8. Maybe it’s the aero difference? |
