E91 - M Performance Exhaust, M-Tech Bumper, M3 Replica Bumper
If you had to choose one to do this summer, which would it be?
First photo is my car currently. I found someone selling a M Performance exhaust for $700 CDN, is that a fair price for a used catback? Thanks. |

Considering the M performance exhaust is discontinued I think $700 CDN is a good deal. That’s half of what it was new. Also vote for Exhuast before bumpers, you can’t see the bumpers while driving but you can hear the exhaust. The M performance exhaust sounds amazing and will make the car more fun to drive!

Thanks for the input! The second one, as in the one after mine, is the mtech with the splitter and lip. You guys have all confirmed my thoughts. I really do prefer the mtech over the m3, I think it flows better with the e90/91 headlights. The rarity of the exhaust has me thinking to get that first too, it's about a 3 hour drive from me.

CAD 700 is really like USD 520 so that's a pretty good deal on a sought after NLA part. Although to compare apples to apples, how much would the M bumper set you back? I voted for the PE for the rarity, I think you'll be able to easily find bumpers in the future.

Looks like Mtech is running away with it for bumper comparison. Looking at various vendors its looking to be approx $500 USD as well. However I'd definitely have to get splitters and lip as well down the road, it completes the look.
My reason for getting a bumper was because I've purchased vinyl to colour change my wagon over the summer. Figured I may as well upgrade the bumper to one I prefer before laying on the vinyl. Then this exhaust comes along for sale....lol. Current thought is to get the exhaust and wrap my car as is. Upgrade the bumper next summer and re-wrap it. |

Definitely go exhaust, you have a rare opportunity to grab something that may not be available the next time you are ready. The bumpers will always be available.
Also agree with most of the other posts as well regarding the MTech if you choose to go the bumper route. I've never been a fan of M3 reps on a non-M car, kinda like putting an Acura emblem on a riced out Honda Civic! Just my two pennies! Last edited by KillaManjango; 05-03-2019 at 10:32 AM.. |

Does the bumper require additional parts for venting to the rotors?

The splitter is from **********s. I've decided to get the exhaust. Definitely took into account that the bumpers will always be available and this exhaust is few and far between, let alone to find one for sale. Will have it welded on this weekend!
Thanks all for your input. |

If I'm not mistaken, you already have the M Tech front bumper if the first picture is your car. The second picture is an M Sport bumper, which is what my car came with.
Do a google search on MTech e90 front bumper and then do a search for MSport e90 front bumper.

I was going to buy that very exhaust, but the seller wasn't willing to pack it for shipment. My search continues then. |
