How long from port arrival to being in transit?

My M340i arrived at the port on 5/7. No carrier assignment yet. What has everyone's average time from arrival at the port to "in transit" been? I'm figuring a 3-5 day transatlantic trip once on the boat.

Unfortunately it seems really variable. Some folks only take a few days. Other have sat for up to 2 weeks or so.

Yea- putting my patient hat back on. Let's hope the June rates are better and it makes the wait worthwhile.

Does someone know the answer to this? If you order in April and take delivery in June, do you get the best deal that was available in April/MAY/June ? Or is it the best deal available in April/June ?

No. Only the programs for the month in which your credit was run when the vehicle was ordered (assuming you take delivery within 60 days from credit being run for east coast port of arrival, and 90 days for west coast port of arrival), and the month you take delivery.

In your example (assuming east coast delivery since you're in NJ), May would not be an option. If your credit was run on 4/5, you would need to take delivery by 6/5 to choose between April and June rates. If delivery surpassed the 6/5 mark, BMWFS has the right to deny you April rates, though it's rare delivery takes more than 60 days. I would also be surprised if BMWFS denied you the rates offered when initial credit check was performed, even if you surpass 60 days, especially if the rates for the month you take delivery are worse, but I suppose they could enforce this.

Same here. My wife thinks I'm sweating this more than the birth of our two girls. She might be right....

My CA never ran my info when i ordered the car. My neighbor pulled strings for me (COO of the corporation) and it was basically a done deal. Should be interesting to see what they can come up with for financing but I was told the April incentives and 2.99% APR would be applicable or whatever the best deal was between order and delivery. Tick tock.....

If you are dealing with the COO of BMW USA that is already breaking standard procedure, I would argue your fact pattern won't apply to the general population and shouldn't be considered the norm

So it made its way to "in transit" this am. Apparently you can no longer get this info from BMW Genius nor BMW NA. It just changed officially mid last week per the guy i spoke to on the phone this am so secondary to call volume this is now to be handled by the dealership CA. Thus I emailed my guy this am and got this in return.

-Horizon Highway" Voyage# 29A. Departure date 5/11. Estimated days at sea 17. Estimated day into port at Brunswick Ga is 5/28.

Probably won't be at my doorstep till first week of June. Still not bad- essentially 6 weeks from order to delivery if all goes as planned from here.
