Who hates their front plate!!??
Who here hates their front plate on their cars?
i was thinking of making a mechanism that would flip on your front plate with a switch and would blend in with the body... have you ever thought about it? or does it just sound plain stupid.. cause i hate when they give you tickets for your front plate |

i hate it so much i sent an email to a state congress man to support a legistration making it optional to have a front plate (more tax/fee for those who choose not to have it, more revenue for the state, so my argument goes...etc...)
he said he would introduce it when the next session starts... go figure |

i don't really have a problem with my front plate. i don't think it detracts from the look of the vehicle, and 90% of the time i'm looking at the car, it's from the inside drivers seat so i don't see the plates anyway.

I will never put mine on either. I'd rather take the fine. With my WRX and Integra I put it in the bottom corner of the window using suction cups. Now it just sits in the trunk and I invested in some bumper plugs.

The Best of a Bad Situation
All it took was one pull over for me to realize that it was time to go to plan B: Bimmian and Skene (and still no holes in the bumper) for the cost of a ticket. The bracket is removable, and is attached underneath the bumper.

Yea, thats true. Looks better without the plate. Here its the law. I have front plates. Not worth it IMO for the hassle and fee getting stopped all the time.

Don't need a front plate in Florida, hooray!
But when I get cars I tell the dealer not to drill any holes or put on any of their own logos. I will refuse delivery for something as simple as a "X Dealership" license plate frame. I didn't drop $40 grand to advertise their dealership.

We don't get hurricanes in California. I think it's a fair trade.
