Windshield Replace, Dealership or 3rd Party?

Hi,

I read the posts regarding windshield replacing but I couldn't find the answer/opinion I need to help me decide. I had Safelite come out to see if the chip/crack can be repaired and they said it has to be replaced.

I called my dealership, JMK BMW bodyshop, and asked if they did their own windshield replacing or a sub-contract. The guy told me they do their own.

Now, my question... Is it better to take it to the dealership? I'm not so worried about the cost but more on the workmanship and the seal.

Has anyone had any bad or good experience from the dealership or Safelite?
