Unlucky during service

So had the car in for a software update. I just can't believe how unlucky I've been with this X5 right from the get go. Oh well, it is what it is. Dealer is raising a bit of doubt as I only noticed this when I got home from the dealer. I thought it was dirt and tried to clean it only to realize there was a small tear in it. Should be an interesting conversation tomorrow. I only have 500 KM on this thing. It's spent more time at the dealership than in our driveway.

The guys were good this morning. They felt bad and apologized several times. New seat cover on order.

At first it was a bit of a push back but I think seeing it made them realize something did happen. That strip / band was suspicious and with the car only having 500 km ruled out wear and tear.

I had a similar experience (but not a puncture) I always take pics at drop off and give a copy to the service manager right then via Google photos. They admitted messing up something once and agreed to fix it but I'm also not welcome there even though I handled it professionally so be careful

why are you not welcome?? whats wrong taking pictures?? nothing wrong protecting your property. and if you are not welcome because you document things... then you should steer clear with that dealership, they are up to no good letting you felt unwelcome, by documenting the car before going to service. and they should welcome that cause its protects both parties.

last year in my country, several videos were shown on news of how service people are handling vehicles that where caught on dash cam.

1. using the car for practice driving by other personnel and their chat was also caught on cam.

2. on a paint repair the car was switch on for like 6 hours with the AC on.

3. car sound system was abuse while in service.

4. one was caught trying to disable the dash cam. don't know what happen next.

this was all over the news for weeks and social media from different dealerships and brands.
