M performance diff best price

Which dealer has the best price and free shipping? I found one with 12 dollar shipping and 506 for diff? I think I saw prices as low as 460? Thanks

Garage List
After talking to a half dozen dealers today, there are none in stock at any dealer in the US or any BMW warehouse in the US. (One showed up in the computer at a dealer in Maryland but over the phone they said that it was a unit ordered for a customer that was defective and it had already been sent back.)

All of the dealers said that they have zero insight via their computer systems into stock in Germany. They said that there could be units at the port in the US that will suddenly show up tomorrow or they might not see one come in from Germany for a month or more. They have also had parts due from Germany in say 3-4 weeks, that were then delayed an additional 1-2 weeks trying to make it through US Customs.

Had one dealer parts department quote me about $650 when their own Internet parts group was quoting the same part for <$500. It didn't matter since neither could deliver or say with any accuracy when they could deliver.

The actual BMW information release about the LSD posted at the top of this F30 forum claims that the dealership labor should be 2.5 hours. I've heard people say that they were quoted anywhere from $300 to $700 for the installation.

This is the information that I collected from about six conversations today. Hope this helps a bit.

Mine was Installed for 560 yesterday @ bmw Dallas. Had purchased the diff from ECS tuning a couple weeks ago. My bill didn't list the actual time spent on the job, rather this was the quoted price for install on shopbmwusa.com. The car was in their hands for about 3.5 hours

I have one on order with fingers crossed. At least I'll be able to say I tried.

Ordered a couple on 5-9, got a delivery notice on 5-11 then a notice on 5-13 that delivery was delayed until Mid July. Also have one on order at dealership which they say should be delivered from Germany in 2-3 weeks.
