New 2019 X5 50i owner
Just picked up a new 2019 BSM, coffee interior with the M sport package. Coming from a 2018 BMW M4 Competition, adjusting to the X5 will take some time but it was necessary to make the change.
Had kind of an abbreviated orientation to the car but it seems rather intuitive and fit me like a glove (6’3” 185 pounds.). I’ve also done some preliminary reading through this site and watched some review-oriented YouTube videos and will go through the manuals, etc. I did get the tire and wheel protection package this time due to our local streets!! Funny thing is, I could wash my M4 in less than 45 minutes by hand, the X5 looks like an afternoon car wash project (I have a access to a car wash bay in my condo). No pictures yet, just got it last night but wanted to share some basic info and say hello, Dave Ps. Any top 5 must do’s at This point? One thought is tire pressure, this vehicle has Bridgestone Azenis 20”, tires which I believe are all season run flats. Not a big fan of run flats in the past so any thoughts on new non run flat tires and wheels, what are the ideal tire pressures for these tires? I do like a potential staggered summer set up option, with bigger tires in the rear. Sorry about the long post and will throw some pics up today, take care, Dave Former cars: 2018 M4 Comp, 2014 M5 Comp Last edited by David 12; 05-24-2019 at 07:29 AM.. |

You will love it. “Sport Plus’ mode will have a huge smile on your face. I have not been hampered by my Pirelli RF on my twisty mountain roads. Summer tire will make it even better but not a factor for me in my mixed weather climate and cross country touring. There are no 22” tire choices for mixed weather.
Check your tire pressure on your drivers door sticker. Your wash time will be about 15 minutes more than your last M4. Not bad at all. One mod we all are getting is the black shadowline grill to match the rest of the black shadowline trim of the M-Sport. How about the rear travel tray? It’s a slick design. - IND color matched front reflectors to get rid of the ugly orange strip.
- Black eBay grill as posted above, fits perfectly - Hook for backseat mounts:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DVH4VP6/ - USB-C to Lightning or your flavor of phone Cable so guests can use the charge ports in the car - BMW Rubber floor mats So far loving mine!
