Oh. No

I generally love the M performance parts and I have some on my X5 M50d but this I really don't like.

Looks good.... but all this M-Performance parts for the BMW cars reminds me of microtransactions in todays games/apps for some reason, they release a car but to get it "complete" you have to buy extra parts aka microtransactions to get it done but in this case M-Performance parts.

But you are not forced to buy them it just makes the car a bit "better" like cosmetic items.

I might be one of the younger people here when referring to this.

The carbon bits should be standard - to set it apart from the M40i and lesser models

Perhaps that is what the competition model is for.

The M division is really hurting its name with all of this never ending "M-performance" nonsense.

I think what you said is a great comparison. The cars look good I suppose, but it's all becoming a bit of a joke.

Sucks.

I'm old enough to remember when M cars stood out on their own based on design and performance. The whole point was to have a sleeper car that performed. Now this bells, whistles, and trinkets "package" contains stripes? Can't wait to see those stripes on a color that isn't white. Actually I can wait. A long time

I think with all the gloss black trim everywhere the CF around the grills and gills seems a bit out of place, I personally would opt to keep those gloss to match.

The M Performance Parts should be renamed in "Blacked Out Look Parts" (with optional carbon fibre instead). Since I'm not a fan of that look, it's definitely not for me.

BMW continues to be floundering. Not a single performance component in their M Performance accessories.

Reassuring to see that i'm not the only one wondering what the heck is BMW doing as of late!! especially with this very first M SAV ! they might as well call it the night package like Benz does with its blacked out parts , it's absolutely not performance enhancing ! heck i think it's the only M car with no forged wheels option no ?
No mature man will ever ride a car with these silly stripes .
