X5 Seat Protectors

Has anyone found good quality seat protectors which fit the G05 well?

I bought these for when the wife and I go hiking or if I'm running out of time at the gym and must head home before shower.

I workout 4 days a week and I am someone that sweats more than usual and still I haven't felt the need to add a car seat protector for my own body sweat. None of my car seats have seen any after effects of sitting on them after a sweaty workout, if that is what you are worried about. Dirt from rolling in the mud, after a spartan race, etc. warrants one though

I buy it to keep the stink out more than anything. Its 100% water prof with absorbing micro fiber layer that I let air dry in the garage when I get out. Leather absorbs and here in AZ the sweat can dry so quick you see the white mark around the "puddle" on black leather.

I use disposable seat covers. They have been great for kids, washing/moving cars, etc...

It’s just easier to throw them away after each use.

The reason I asked is to ensure seats are protected when car goes in for service... don’t ask!

Usually dealers put a plastic cover on it unless your dealer really really sucks and at that point you should either change the dealership or blast their back side.

Yup at my dealer they pull out the plastic cover before entering the vehicle at all, and paper mats.

Buuuuump 😁 resurrecting an old fella…

@Tenac how'd that protector end up working out in the longer haul? I sweat pretty excessively from OTF and more recently noticed that my new F95's seats have started getting a funky smell to them, so I've been looking for something to help the cause.

I've been using Meguiar's cleaning and conditioning wipes regularly ever since and planning on applying the Gyeon leather shield once I get a chance to deep clean the seats, but was hoping to source a good reusable protector or even just a big pack of those plastic use-and-throw ones the dealers use.

Really well, no issues to the seats themselves. I always take it out and hang in the garage to dry and only use it when heading to the gym. I've been using the same cover for a few cars now with zero impact to seats.

Disclaimer: I have added to the home and put a gym in there, so I no longer go to the gym.

I'm assuming you have black leather. If you have a nice merino leather color (like ivory white or tartufo) why would you want to cover it's beauty with a fugly sheep skin cover?

Update - I ended up going with (TIANSHI 100 Pieces Disposable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y5JXCKR...p_mob_ap_share) and it's absolutely wonderful and does the trick perfectly.

I wanted something akin to the dealer disposable covers, and was surprised to find that these are lasting 4-5 uses each before I toss them. Even then, I'm not throwing them due to tears or rips, but rather just a personal choice.

Reviews on Amzn trash it for being too thin/light, but to me, that's not been an issue yet. Note: below picture is after 5 uses.
