What gives with "residue"from mirror depositing onto paint?
Does anyone else see this happening. It seems that after it rains, the water coming out of the RV mirror flows onto the side of the car and leaves some type of "residue" on the paint. It can be removed, but why does this continue. My car is 1 1/2 years old. Is it some type of lubricant in the mirror or just dirt deposits?

It will be minerals such as limestone dissolved in the water which leaves marks once water has evaporated. Degree of marking will depend on how hard your water is.

kinda like the black streaks you get on an AW at the bottom of the door, the streak goes down the rocker panel. I hate those lines.

Black car. You see everything. I think it's just minerals in the water, as tmarshall57 said.
