Gas cover?
Is there a way to lock the Gas cover?
I think this is a bad idea having it open to anyone that feels like they would like to F around with a $50k BMW. Thanks in advance. |

BMW has had locking gas covers for a bazillion years. If yours doesn't lock take it in to get the solenoid fixed.

Open your fuel filler door and then lock your car. You'll see the solenoid that pops out to lock the door. Only thing that sucks is that if someone really wants to open it they will have to pry/break it which means more $$$ to get it fixed.

Yep,, looks like my locking pin on the gas cap is broke. I can see it go in when unlocked, and then when I lock the door, the pin pops out but dosnt go into the locking nook.
Thanks for your help guys and gals. |
