Question Playing ipod video or dvd on navigation $1000 worth it or not ?

As per from Dominic from http://www.tvandnav2go.com/

Unit will cost you $550
Playing video from “Ipod video” will be = $100 i.e. $650
Complete job like playing video from VCD or DVD it will be $1000

I know it won’t be DIY from my end, I will prefer professional installation on this. And will be able to move the unit to my new car if I wan’t? Do you think it’s worth that much money?

Does anyone have this on there e90? Please share your experience.

that unit sounds awesome from the specs, and to me the unit sounds very much worth 550 dollars. its not just about watching dvds or video from your ipod. This unit supports outs if you ever want more tvs, has enough ins for rear video cameras, xbox,ps3, blah blah blah. i paid 2000 bucks for my tv/dvd player in my last car. and while it was tottally different then what this set up would be like, but it was waaay worth it.

Cool

Hi Saurav27
Hope all is well.
We sell the video conversion cheaper than anyone else around. Most companies sell just the conversion unit for 1,200. You are better off if you get the full system so that you can have dvd and I Pod video.
You will still have extra ports if you want to hook up a backup camera or ps2, xbox later on.
Thanks Dominic

Why would you even do it? If you want to watch a movie, go home. My car is for driving. Even if there is a remote reason to do it, when would you watch anything in it?

For me it would be to have the video for passengers - and for a rear back up camera - and xbox360/ps3 -

domoftvandnav2go - whats the best way to get the unit installed? And the price for the unit for our cars is 550?
