These things all depend on the depth of your wallet and the extend of your tuning.

I am running an Eventuri, but there are so many different options out there.

If you’re looking for any performance gains, it’s a huge waste of money

If you have ASD off and a relatively quiet exhaust and interior, aftermarket intake can do a lot for sound. The ‘woosh’, can be quite addicting

A bit expensive for a Subaru-style whistle, don't you think?

It's a bit Subaru'ish but it's still a great sound, with ASD bypass the M2C is like a cemetery

Listen here below, it has a nice sound to it (0:15-0:30)

Stock intakes are the best even with stage 2 turbos and huge power,
These are only for sound

I have always used those filters after washing them. Never oiled a bmc in my life

We carry all the options and more (VRSF, Agency Power and Injen). While it wont increase power on stock turbo, it offers a very nice sound upgrade

Added all of them

What's up with the Agency Power? Crazy design but can't see it last long with rain and deep puddles. Also, you sure it fits on M2C?

Anyone have any data showing the filtering efficiency of all these options? I'd love to go with one of these but not at the expense of less filtration if particles for such small gains that aren't noticeable .... not worth it unless filtration can clearly be shown to be as good as oem

This is old, but assuming no one answered this or there is a different thread addressing it?

I don’t regret it.

In my mind oem are very good so i just installed afe pro dry s filter in oem air boxes

Other options give more sounds but no performance gains...at the opposite you open the option of sucking hot air

The hot air theory on a turbo BMW has been debunked numerous times. I would not worry about it.

The intake upgrade does not add noticeable power (maybe on the dyno, but not enough for the driver to feel a difference)

It upgrades the sound and the look of the car. If that's worth it to the buyer, then this mod is a great option.

If the buyer is looking for power only and does not care about sound or aesthetic upgrades, better mods are available.
