but does anyone have an idea of the % of hpfp failures? Also...any time frame between the beginning of longer cranks and complete failure of same?

well think of it this way, there are hundreds, if not thousands of 335is out there...and the minority is say, just guesstimating 10%? those 10% are on this forum and out of those 10% there is an even smaller minority that has HPFP failures, but then again, those 90% outside of the forums are probably experiencing that as well. Most people come to the forums when they have a problem, and not everyone is an enthusiast...
So my guess is that it is probably less than 10% of the owners, but again, that's just my guess, not sure in any way shape or form... |

Mine just died with no warnings like long cranks. So you can't really put a time frame on it. Long cranks may be a symptom of problems to come with the fuel pump but as in my case were not a symptom at all. My original pump lasted 33k then just died.
