Intake M340i 2020

Has anyone installed a aftermarket air filter or intake on their 2020 m340i? If so what company is making them?

I’ve been told that the gains would be minimal at best. Stock intake is already very efficient
If you’re just interested in improving the sound then burger tuning is solid

I have the dinan cf one and it was certainly not worth the disgusting 616 I paid for it. I can totally hear the turbo way more than the bms one i previously had and the completely silent stock one. Bms is a good place to start though. Just bolts right on to the hood latch and plugs into the MAF sensor

Yes there is a power improvement. Not massive but definitely noticeable.

Mission Performance just put down a safe and conservative 440 WHP with a stock box and filter - if you want more noise go for it but for meaningful power gains probably not so much (opinions vary this is just mine)

Ps- MP almost exclusively runs factory intake and filter because Alex doesn't want to introduce particulates into the engine and he builds BMWs with crazy power and tracks and drags them on a regular basis - just food for thought

Motor on :-) and do whatever you want to your BMW because....well it's yours :-)

Looks like K&N updated their site with a filter for us:

People seemed to like the Burger Tuning intake on the F30 B58, made about 8-10hp at the wheels on a tuned car.

I'm not sure if it will fit, I'll take a look at the mounting points on that as well as under the hood of our cars. Burger Tuning also makes one for the Supra, which might fit.

I dropped the K&N filter in and removed the air baffle. Decent change to be honest, sound wise of course. Subtle, subtle change in acceleration I'd say.

Which baffle are you referring to?

You the hear the turbo itself slightly more, nothing more. Guys, it's a stock airbox still with the baffle gone, nothing crazy, it does not sound like an open air intake. I do have a K&N filter in, so maybe I'll grab a video if my phone can capture it.

Did you cap off where that baffle is? That’s the engine side of the air filter, wouldn’t want dirty air going right to the motor...

I didn’t measure but something like this would do the trick: EVERCONNECT 1730 Flexible PVC Pipe Cap with Stainless Steel Clamps, 3", Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNWADI2..._zlwFDbWHAN2GR

Whoa whoa whoa, hold up. So you're saying that this will not allow me to run full E85 and a larger turbo?
