Help Trading/Selling 328i for 335i

Hello all
I have the 07 328i mint condition(14,900 mi) and loaded( see signature)

lately I've been considering trading / selling it for 335i

Here's the Deal: i still owe about 24k remaining on payments, my CA quoted me 26k for trade in, online says street sell value is roughly 30k to 32k, even if i do trade in thats merely 2k to put down for the 335i. I am really considering this.

My headache: i can fair off with an 07 335i, but i know i want the 08 or even 09, but i doubt i 'll find a used 335i with all or close to the options i'll want ( looking for similar options to my 328i and same color)

So does anyone have any idea/ suggestions for me?
is it really worth it? ( well of-course duh!)
do i have any chance not getting screwed?
Has any traded/sold 328i for 335i?

yea with some prices i've seen, i had more ppl tell me to get 335i than ppl give me advice on modding, just wana know which one that'll out weight the other. More than likely i will mod the 328i but it's always a good thing to see and do some research and put some thinking behind my actions.

I traded in my 07 E92 328i for my 08 E92 335i....couldn't be more happy and would do it over again.

If you can afford it financially, do it, life is too short.

You will get screwed on your trade-on no matter what.

I tried Carmax and they lowballed the shit out of me. I got 3 K more from the dealer on top of the tax savings by trading into the dealer.

I finalized the price of my 335i coupe prior to negotiating my trade-in. I was just using Carmax as "leverage" but that was not necessary since the BMW dealer offered me $3K more for my 328i trade-in.

To the OP, that's my experience. I would still recommend going to Carmax and see how much they offer to buy your car for since it does not cost you a penny to get it appraised by them.

with car max you need to put your self in their shoes would you put a huge amount on a car you drove for 5 min ? plus we have to make our money to. but yes use it as a base price.

If you don't mind me asking, is there any reason in particular that you like the 335 over the 328? Aside from the obvious speed, is it the mod-ability of the turbo engine?

the only way I see you "trading" off a 328i is if you're looking for a base 335i...and I'm not even sure if you'll get a trade even then...

Yea i guess i'll say the turbo not to mention the dual exhaust pipes, which can be modded into quads and so on.... I am very happy with my 328i. i just want to see how painful this process will be, is it even worth it?

i've heard of people who have given up lesser value cars for more valued ones while retaining their monthly payments ( perhaps depositing more $$ and perhaps stretching the payment term)
