Heat from Floor Vents but Cold Air from Center Vents

Has anyone else had this issue? It's causing my feet to sweat like a pig.

With Auto climate control on (temp around 20C/68F) I only get air out of the center vents and my feet get really hot.

So I turn on both the center and floor air flow and get ice cold air from the center vents and hot air from the floor vents (checked driver and passenger side). If I turn the temp to 18C/64F I get a blast of cold air in the floor but over time it heats up again.

I've noticed this too...
But when i turn the auto temp down to lower than 68F it seems to fix the problem... and the floor ac gets cold...

you should try running the ac on recirc maybe that'll solve the issue also.

There's a knurled wheel on the front dashboard that has blue and red dots. Red gets you hot air while blue gets you cold

Thanks. I"ve already tried recirc (both auto and full time), didn't make a difference. Also the dial for hot/cold on the vents is set to cold (I know of two dials, front center vents and rear vents).

I'm planning to take it in, just don't have time for a couple weeks and figured other people are having this issue.

heat

Are you certain that it's hot air emanating from the floor outlets, or just that the floorboards get hot from engine heat?

I found the same thing, but I think it is just that the air flow at the bottom is very low compared to how much comes out at the top, and the bottom flow is competing with the engine heat in the foot well.

That's weird. I like in Hawaii and often drive on the weekends with bare feet. I have to sometimes turn off the flow to the footwell to keep my feet from freezing (auto climate set at 72-74f on E92 with ambient temps of 84-87).

this doesnt happen in my e92. try setting the dial in the middle of hot/cold and see what happens.
