Airflow and volumetric efficiency means huge high-flow, conical air filters are the first step to increase airflow to the engine. Steel heat shields or molded plastic air boxes keep hot air out and fresh, cold air flowing to the filter. Velocity stacks and precision designed intake tubes provide smooth, uninterrupted airflow to the turbo or throttle body.

It's good when products come out for our cars. But close to $600.00 for two pieces of metal, one aluminum piece and a filter, that's just plain ridiculous! That's like 500% profit! Oh, I forgot the people that drive BMW's are billionaires. My bad!

Lots of engineering actually went into this unit.

We know first hand how much it costs to machine a velocity stack from a piece of billet alum. $360+

If the scoops fit, I don't see why not. It will only help the intake with getting cooler air!

I thought I have seen information on the Stage 2, but after contacting AFE, only a Stage 1 is currently available for the Z4 M Coupe/Roadster.

Billet aluminum as about the most expensive way I can think of to produce this piece. Why not use another material? ABS plastic would work just as well. There are plenty of things you could use to get that volute shape that are waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than billet alm.
