Thule Rack Owners this is a MUST HAVE

I have a thule rack on my E92 and with the provided open end 10MM wrench it takes at least 10 minutes to remove the rack when not in use, but I just bought one of these and I can remove my rack in 5 minutes or less, HUGE time saver.

Looks cool. But I can't figure out how that saves time for you. I have a Thule on my wife's 530i and I don't have any nuts to loosen. It has a special hex bolt with a pin in the center

Not sure what it's for, but a similar (but IMO, a better) tool is the gear wrench. Usually on sale at Sears now.

On my E92, there are little 10mm nuts that hold on the rack and with the trim covers flipped up a standard closed ratchet will not fit. Without this tool you have to use a standard open end wrench which would easily take twice as long

I agree, but there is a clearence issue with the trim pieces in the way, there is not clearance 360 degrees on the nut that you need to loosen

ors racks...they sell them online, I am not sure if you guys have "Sport Rack" but it's a chain we have in California that sells them. Any Thule Dealer can get the parts you need, I think there is also a vendor in the "group buy area" that is selling the Thule Racks.

Doesn't REI carry a full line of Thule as well?

i put my thule rack on last night. this wrench would make things marginally easier, but any 9mm open ended wrench should work just fine.

Can I order the E90 version? Will it fit my E92?
