1200 miles for M cars, don’t exceed like 5.5k Rpm if memory serves me correctly. After 1200 mile fluid change at the dealer, you can then enjoy it to it’s fullest.

Make sure the dealer has the parts in stock. Brought mine in earlier this week and didn't have the oil filter in stock since it was a new model, now waiting for next shipment.

My dealer here in S. Florida told me this morning that the break in parts will not be available for another month. Just hit 1100 miles. Now what? Do I store the car until parts arrive ...in a month? BMW in Cali did not have a solution either. Not cool!

If you've tried to arrange the 1200 svc with a BMW Dealership and were told parts are N/A, and it's documented, you've tried to follow the recs. Personally wouldn't go full bore until done, but store it? No.

Share some images, and welcome to the Forum.

That’s really weird! Maybe try BMW USA or another dealer. I scheduled my break in service online same day in the Phoenix, AZ area. It’s a filter and some diff fluids and other checks if I recall correctly. Nothing too special...

Hope you have better luck with someone else!

Any thoughts on doing the service before 1200? I have a Genius appointment for next week and I'll be at roughly 900 by then. Thinking about doing the service then since I'll already be there but don't want to do it too early and have any adverse impact. Thanks!

Just had my break in service done a couple of weeks ago. My SA confirmed with the tech first to make sure they had all the parts in stock before booking me for service. I must say, after the break in service there has been a permanent grin on my face. Lol
