Does anyone have Connected Command working on their car/phone?

I reconnected my car to my ConnectedDrive app, and had this prompted (which I hadn't had come up before.)

There is so little information about this, even out on the web...

Wow I don't have that option, I do have the connected app working. Where is that option located? I have a 2019 G20 hmm 🤔

Sorry just noticed you reconnected. Is that by logging out only from the car?

It came up when I removed the car from my ConnectedDrive account and then re-added it. I don't even know where to find any other references.

This video glazes over how exactly it works...

I always find this lack of information very irritating because BMW has a habit over the years of not documenting this stuff.

I'm on 7/2019.48 if I recall. My car had been at the dealer for the past three days, so it might be newer now.

Nice I guess but why would you or the passenger want to do most of that on the phone instead of using the car controls?

Ok I got it to work by disconnecting then reconnecting. Though I'm not sure if it was that or connecting to the cars WiFi. Thanks for the tip.

I thought that myself until you use the entertainment part, it's neat how you can select any satellite radio station, AM/FM or Apple Car play media. Often my passengers have music that they want to play and I'm good with that.

If it didn't require the BMW app that would be even better for passengers though.

I get the ability to play their own music from their phone but that’s about it. I was more referring to things like turning on the seat warmers which are literally at arm’s reach to push a button.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I'm a tinkerer and of course, if something isn't working -- I want to know why! :-)

Well I could see it if you have young children, perhaps setting a temperature for them without going through the iDrive system. I agree it's a bit over the top just for those few features.
