So... available accessories?
Looking for information on accessories for my X3M.
So, is it pretty much a given that accessories that would fit the X3 4.0 would fit the X3M? I'm looking at some way to transport my bicycle outside the car, preferrably on a roof rack system. I do not have any experience with BMWs roof base system for the rails on my X3M, and I would really like to use my Thule bike racks with it, if possible. Anyone look into this yet? Or have some info on it? X3M accessories and info seems a little slim at the moment. Thule doesn't have 2020 info yet. They have 2019 info, which I would think would be logical that it would fit, but their base load bar systems are $$ and I'd rather be sure before ordering anything. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

For fitment, the roof rail setup is the same as on the 2018-19 G01 X3. Thule has some good options!
I still trying to decide if I want a Thule solution, but so far the SeaSucker has been working great for me so far, as I usually just carry one bike to the trails on the weekends or vacation. |

You could fit all the cups on the pano glass if you wanted, there’s room. For whatever reason, I put the front two cups on the paint, and the other two on the glass. Also, I have a thru axle boost fork, so I swapped the SeaSucker Mount with a Rocky Mounts HotRod mount. This makes getting the bike on & off simple by eliminating the spacer.

Unless they have a new one, the SeaSucker mount isn’t Boost, so they have a spacer that makes it harder to mount with one person bc you can’t set the fork and then grab the skewer. It’s a bit of a circus act. The Rocky Mount is spaced for boost (& comes with permanent spacers), so it’s easy.
For a road bike or non-boost fork the SeaSucker should be fine. |
