330e Electric folding towbar - now available?
When I ordered my 330e in May, I really wanted a folding electric towbar for using a bike carrier, but was told that it was not an option available to be specified on the model.
I note today that it is now on the BMW configurator as a valid option for the 330e......... Grrrrrrrrr! Anyone else have a similar issue when ordering? |

Update - I have just chatted with a BMW genius who says that the electric towbar is indeed available for the 330e.
BUT it is not available to retrofit to new 330e models delivered from 1 September 2019 through to early October. Apparently they have increased the car's battery capacity to compensate for the 750kg towing capacity. Needless to say that I am not happy at all - penalised for being a loyal BMW customer and ordering a new model early! |

That does seem unusual. It’s like an afterthought of the car design.
Yep... that would annoy me too.

Ironic that the ones that may have prompted the change of design are the ones that lose out! I'm waiting to hear what my dealer contact says........... |
