Transmission Malfunction (335i)

I have a 2007 335i coupe (AT). The other day I accidentally left the lights on and drained the battery. I jump started my car and then now I have an error message saying "Transmission malfunction, please driver moderately". When I was driving on my hill, I stopped at a stop sign and when I tried to accelerate but my car began to roll back. I had to push the gas a little harder to get it rolling. This hill is not even that steep, it usually only takes a slight push and I can keep going. Also when I move go from Park to reverse, neutral, and drive, it makes loud noises and the car sort of lunges forward (like when a car stalls).

Has anyone ever experienced similar problems? Do i need to reset anything when the battery is drained..? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Get it to the dealer ASAP and have it checked out. All 3ers come with hill-start assist so the car shouldn't be rolling backwards at all.

I'm really confused why do some of our headlights turn off when we turn off the car. Others lights don't turn off.

Give the battery a full charge. Low voltage will cause all kinds of strange problems with the electronics.

you should not roll back in either car, a MT or an AT....

to the Dealer!

Very true, I ran into this problem once and all kinds of things were going off. Scared me at first, but all it needed was a full charge.

How long does a full charge usually take? After i jumped the car I let it run for about 45 minutes and drove it around my neighborhood for about 5 minutes. Is that enough?

If that doesn't work I might have to ask the dealer to tow the car because I don't feel safe to drive it around.
Before I take it to the dealer should I replace the GP thunder bulbs back to stock? I'm not sure if they can somehow say that replacing bulbs was the start of the problem..

45 mins should be plenty of time for a full recharge under normal conditions..... I don't think they will care about your GP thunder bulbs nor pay attention to them....

Great news, i decided to start up the car today, and everything was okay. I took it around the block and everything seemed fine. But now I have another warning light saying something is wrong with my left brake light. Problems just keep coming up one after another.. haha well hopefully this is something not so major that I can just fix myself. Thanks again for the input and help everyone!
