idrive doesn't see all my contacts on iphone since ios 13 upgrade

Before the iOS 13 upgrade I would routinely use the idrive instead of the carplay as I liked how it worked better. But since the update, idrive doesn't recognize most of my contact numbers. When I ask it to call a contact, it doesn't know the contact, but the contact is clearly on my phone. And I do have the "sync contacts" button on on my phone and all the checkboxes on idrive that I can find. When my messages show up, it's just the number and not the contact associated with that number.

Anyone else have this issue? Am I missing something? Or possible in need of a software upgrade?

This happens to my Carplay after upgrading to ios13. Most times it works, but there are times it just won't connect.

My Carplay works fine. I just prefer the behavior of the idrive most of the time unless I'm using Waze. Bummed it changed with the new iOS.

Having same issue. Just went to search for it, but then saw your post. Been about two weeks and I have tried disconnecting the phone and re-sync'ing, etc.

Between this and the brake squeaking, I am ready to kick this otherwise awesome car to the curb. Any help for this Luddite would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I expected the brake squeal since I had it on the F10. It's still annoying, but it doesn't bother me as much anymore. Some have had luck with different brake pads. I think ACG sells them. Search it up.

I bet the contacts issue will be resolved with an iOS or BMW software update. Just got to wait for it. Although it seems like such a simple thing so why did it get messed up??

Never had a perfect car yet.

Same. No perfect cars, and I love this car. The motor, tranny, seats, headlights, wipers, etc. are all awesome...and that is the main stuff. The brake squeaking is irritating, but you can drive around it most of the time, other than inching up to my daughter's school, which is a bad time to make it squeal super loud (people standing around). As for the contacts, that is a problem, and I sure hope they figure it out.

This issues seems to have resolved itself. Maybe with the latest iOS update??
