Spotify ConnectedDrive App
I've searched and waited to see if anyone else will bring up this issue before posting, but sadly I can't seem to find much information on this. Has anyone had any issues with Spotify in the ConnectedDrive portion of iDrive? Before iOS13 I had zero issues with this and now it doesn't work at all.
For reference, I'm using iPhone X on lastet iOS 13 verison. |

Same Issue - iOS 13
I am having the same issue. Spotify would connect with or without Connected Drive using iOS 12. With 13.1.2, Spotify may take minutes to be recognized or not at all. Plugging and unplugging the phone eventually gets it to work. Other symptoms:
- Occasionally, song title text is overwritten with other onscreen text, creating unreadable text - Spotify home menu always requires me to access the home menu twice before it will display my home playlists - Occasionally Spotify is recognized, but it will not allow me to access the menu at all I am upgrading the phone to 13.2 tonight. I did call the BMW service center and they recommended that I completely unregister the phone from the car and then re-add it as a new device. According to them, phone upgrades can cause weird things to happen. Anyone have the same issues or a fix? |

How else is everyone listening to Spotify on iDrive? Mine has so many problems and seems like BMW dropped support for the native app. I can't be the only person with this problem

Entering Spotify menu twice has become a habit. When it's connected it usually works without problems. But the connected app just gets worse for each update I think😳

I have a 2015 328i with NBT iD4 and iPhone 11 with iOS 13.3. My Spotify never connected via usb cable. I listen to my music from Spotify through Bluetooth. No matter how many times I've tried, the "Spotify" section never popped up in my multimedia screen nor did my phone ever disable itself for idrive use.
Do I need to subscribe to the bmw apps service for this to work ? My understanding was no. |
