Winter Tyres

Is anyone putting them on their M5? If so what have you gone for?

Thanks

Thanks, had seen this. Was just curious what other people were doing in the UK.

I struggle a little with the aesthetics of the BMW 19" winter wheel package and was considering that option versus putting 20" winter tyres on the standard BMW alloys?

Overkill for Cheshire in my opinion. I'm just up the road...

International forum, so plenty of environments need them and if you absolutely need your car daily, worth consideration, but for the times I won't get traction, I can stay in, or leave the car.

Very fair point. Was only considering it given I will keep the car a while and given a couple of tyre swaps why not rotate between summer and winter tyres. Same total tyre cost over a couple of years?

Fair point mark.

I bought mine to keep, so agree a duplicate set is worth considering, as you say, you'll certainly use a few sets over time.

I don't like the ugly rims people often use and the question is - is it worth investing in a 'proper' additional set?

i like the standard alloys, hence why trying to stick with them and just switch tyres on them.

Hi Mark, yes I am considering BMW 19" Ferric Grey 705 M with Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 as these on US and Canadian forum get good reviews. Our conditions not a severe in most of UK, but when we do get snow I want to protect summer alloys.

Not required in Norfolk area, so not fitting them.
