X4M CRASH
When you're the passenger in this and you come away with injuries that aren't life changing let alone threatening then I'd get a lottery ticket!

Moral of the story is drive according to how the conditions allow and not like a Tw*t to appease your YouTube followers!
I have seen so many videos on his YT channel racing around in various 'hot' cars in tree lined Warwickshire country lanes.........it was only a matter of time before this type of incident occurred. He needs to thank his lucky stars that his injuries were only broken legs! |

Trees tend not to move, you can see the impact on the passenger side, that car will have going one hell of a speed, quite lucky that the impact was on the forward portion of the door and A pillar.

Very fortunate there was no oncoming traffic and potentially taking someone else's life. I've driven some of those smaller roads (around Oxford) and it's kind of fun, but they're so narrow and oncoming traffic can appear out of nowhere

Damn. Only broken leg?
Lucky no one else got hurt. I always tell my customer, take it to the track. Street is not the place to do a circus act with a high power hp car. Back in the day, we do street racing with 4cyl ~180hp. It still not ok, even though you still can dodge them if they lose control and going toward you. With this high hp car, NHRA rules, anything goes lower than 11's in 1/4 miles, require a helmet and racing harness. And with dragy is so popular, it is even worst. Guys will be doing it everywhere just to be on top ladder and have bragging right about it. Bring it to the track. Going fast straight is easy, knowing how your car handles and react is more important. It is like knowing how to swim, but doesn't know how to float.

that being said... glad the person survived.... people need to respect the vehicle they are driving.. and understand the conditions in which they are driving said vehicle. |

Yeah on our narrow b roads with wide modern cars there is zero room for error.

It would be interesting to know if they had a camera running for YT content, if so, likely to be evidence now, potential for a court visit for dangerous driving, speed alone would not determine that but apply another factor such as filming for YT (possible distraction) and then consider would a careful competent driver have ended up in the same position?
(There was a recent court case against a popular YT reviewer for speeding in an R8) That aside fortunately both survived with relatively minor injuries and thankfully there were no other vehicles involved. Was this another demo car being reviewed *screwed* before being sold on by a dealer to unknowing buyers?! |
