X3 sales figures

BMW X3 figures are not that bright for the month of August

BMW blames the Economic downturn, but I am afraid lot of BMW customers are deflecting to competition : Mercedes GLK (on order), Volvo XC 60 (on order), Ford Kuga, VW Tiguan, Citroen, Peugeot,... Audi Q5 (soon to be launched)

I hope they will come up with a replacement soon...

The X3 looks a bit outdated to me, esthetically speaking and some of the rendered images for the next version look so much better...

It is like comparing the old X5 with the new one..

sales are slow because a lot of leases are ending now. I have been passively looking for a x5 and x3 on autotrader for the past 4 months. 10 x5's in a 200 mile radius and over 140 x3's in a 200 mile radius on Autotrader.

sales are slow because people are buying the pre-owned ones for 18-14K with less than 45K miles on them.

Might be true in some cases, however the sales are down because they have not had many new ones to sell. The dealers have no stock, and people want the new X3, that should have been brought to market early. BMW has their head up their ass in the marketing department, and is more concerned about the x1 that is still about 2 years away from the US.

Sales down because of problems?

Plenty on the lots to choose from. No problem finding inventory.

AT problem on 2007-09 plus big problem in brand new car from bouncy, jostling, pitching, pogoing ride....terrible and nuts.
