Any shots of the VIN. Also, good work capturing MBM in what I perceive to be it's most common state. Nice, but not flashy.

Looks much better with black wheels and the gold calipers. The gold wheels combined with the red calipers on the press launch car looked silly.

I thought the same thing (I prefer gold wheels), but my family thought blue, gold, red looked the best. BMW must be on to something with that color combo. Im now planning to order it that way (clown car spec) 😁

Man, I can't wait for US orders to open. There is zero word floating around. I thought by now BMW would at very least release some engineer interviews discussing the effort and payoff of the work that has gone into the CS.

Didn't someone say US production will start end of 2nd quarter? So orders possibly in April?

Someone did mention that their US SA mentioned deliveries end of second quarter. This does jive with something that was in a press release if I recall about the CS and racing. I'm just itching to get things signed. I may be #1 on the list, but it's meaningless until I have a confirmed build slot.

Yes I'm in the same boat supposedly # 1 on a list but meaningless until a confirmed build slot. Kinda in a holding pattern. Will most likely keep my M2 Competition if for some reason my allocation doesn't come. Nothing else BMW makes interest me. The next M3 and M4 are bigger, weigh more, no DCT, and have that questionable grille. Also the depreciation hit will be more on the next M3 and M4 as they are normal production vehicles. CS is limited so it should hold its value better.

M2cs looks fantastic!

I've let my allocation go....can't drop nearly $90K USD when it's all said and done. However, if I can ever pick one up in the mid-70's I'll jump!

Good luck to those that are moving forward! Can't wait to hear your thoughts and see some pics once you guys get the keys!

Apparently these trim parts are temporary ex works and during transit to protect bodywork, removed once a car is PDI'd.

Not sure why BMW UK HQ would have one on display with these in situ unless it's allocated as a customer's car hence they've left them in place, perhaps ??

"Fender Wheel Arch Extensions". Probably a UK market feature.

I had also noticed a similar feature during the Belgian preview of the F90 M5 back in May 2017 (on display in the "discovery room"). Those were attached to the top of the fender wheel arch, but more discreet. In my brief write-up I described it as "tiny discreet mud flaps (grey/black plastic) mounted on the top part of the rear wheel wells" (see here).

During the Belgian preview of the M2 CS last September 2019 I did not see those extensions. So, as said, it's probably market-specific for the UK (model code 1J32 = M2 CS EUR + RHD).

Function: "Rear Fender Wheel Arch Extensions". See this F90 M5 dedicated thread. Explanations: "My Canadian spec does not have this", "Certain countries do not allow the wheel to protrude past the bodywork so this is a shortcut manufacturers use." and "ALL UK M5's have that on them."

RealOEM: see part #15 ("Protective film, wheel arch") of this F90 M5 diagram (source: here):

See also for example (aftermarket) (here) ("2PC Black Rear Fender Wheel Arch Extensions for BMW G30 5-Series & F90 M5"):

Just my $0.02.

Very very nice car!

My mind struggles with the concept of expensive CF bonnets and parts in a car with.....electric seats!
