Vacuum Leak

Hello, on my 2006 BMW 325i I hear a whistle/air blowing noise when accelerating. Can it be a vacuum leak. Also I've notice that when I press the gas to accelerate it Revs up the rpms then goes. I heard it can be the transmission but the shop I took it too said the transmission is good. So can all of this be because of the air leak noise I hear?

My friend had an issue very similar and it was a cracked vacuum canister

Not exactly relevant to a 2006 325i, is that?

Check ALL of your hoses, I'd say since your car is 14 years old, replace them with windshield washer tubing or silicone tubing.

You can find diagrams of all the hoses you need to replace on realoem.com
