Ugly plastic lower grill

Hey there,

I couldn’t find any info on this, so I made a thread.

Anyone know how to replace or cover or something to change the ugly plastic grill on the bottom of the bumper.

Is there a way without having to replace the bumper.

Thanks

That honeycomb center section pulls right out. The side "scoops" direct air to where I haven't looked. The honeycomb section allows air into the intercooler. I would NEVER block that (or the side grills for that matter)! BMW did a lot of research on fluid dynamics to make sure the engine, brakes and oil cooler get the proper amount of air.

Since the lower grille portion comes off, you could paint it to match the kidney grilles? Same with the fog light surrounds

+1! I would paint those a nice gloss black. not the same grills but here's mine with the mesh painted and it looks a lot better than leaving it that plastic color

I suggest using carpro dlux. It's will keep the deep black look and also makes them easy to keep clean.

People say it looks great at first but after it starts wearing it’s impossible to cover up, polish or remove. What is your experience with it?
