I might buy 2007 E91 328xi ...
I found a 2007 E91 328xi with 130,000 miles. Looks decent enough. Seller is asking $4000.
Anything I should be aware of ? What should I look for when checking it out ? It's got the dated hood and bumper. Would the newer E90 sedan hood and bumper fit ? Do any sedan (4 dr) parts swap on the E91 wagon ? Any advice is appreciated !! |

The newer front end will swap over.
Everything is almost the same on the cars except for the rear doors, rear bumper and taillights. Some of the rear seat components are different too.

I've got the Premium Seats for a E90 that are in great shape. Can I swap the seats ? Any issues ? So I'd be removing the seats that came with the E91 and putting in premium seats for a E90.

Extra wiring could be needed. Few thread about this. premium you mean : heated, inflatable bolsters, lumbar support, all electric, seat extension, leather ? there's so many option. Mine are sports; all electric, bolster, heated but I don't have lumbar support. Same for the headlight. They fit, but could required wiring and coding. from the b pillar forward they are identical.
the drivetrains are identical from the b pillar back all of the panels and plastics on the sides of the car are different and specific to the e91. the bench is the same IIRC but the seat backs latch differently because wagon. |

Are suspension parts (shocks/ coils) the same for both cars??
I bought the car and pick it up Thursday in Santa Monica. It's a LA car, so the roads are kinda rough. Had wanted to put 19" wheels on it but will probably just do 18"'s. |

The suspension on them are the same, except different spring rates for the e91 to deal with the added weight of the rear over the e90.
