Smile My BLVK G07 X7 - BUILD THREAD

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi Everyone!

Wishing everyone a good start to a brand new year! Early this year, I traded in my Nardo Grey F90 M5 (Built by RG Sport, Ben) for a 2019 X7 50i - MSport Package. It was NOT an easy task but I needed to do this as my kids are now doing so many sports and activities, it made more sense to have my own SUV on the weekends (wife has a Model X).

I tried really really hard (not) to only just TINT my X7 but of course, the mod bug never goes away..

This is my first SUV that I drive daily so it was a huge change for me and I wasn't sure if I would love it like my previous cars. My previous cars were so much easier to modify as well and that brought a lot of fun and good times.

I came from..
G35 Sedan (Totalled)
G37 Sedan
Lexus GS350
BMW M5 (F10)
Tesla Model S P90D
Lexus GS-F
BMW M5 (F90)
https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1566307

One thing for sure is, I absolutely fell in love with the X7.... For anyone considering an X7,
- Super Spacious compared to the likes of GLS/Range Rover
- Ultra Quiet Interior - even quieter than an S-Class
- Super Comfortable Ride but also still good feel on the road.
- Still quick considering it is an SUV, but then again I have a 50i.

The build (All done by RG Sport - Irwindale, CA - Ben) - HIGHLY recommend all BMW locals in So Cal to use Ben, he has been nothing but phenomenal and is HIGHLY skilled/knowledgeable around BMWs.

2019 X7 - 50i - MSport Package
- Rear Trim Black Out
- Rear Emblem Delete
- Exhaust Trim Black Out
- Exhaust Valve Delete
- Front Sidemarker Black Out
- OEM Black Front Grill
- SolarGard Vortex IR Film - 15 Front / 25 Rear
- 3M Crystalline Front Windshield 70
- RaceChip GTS w/ Bluetooth
- RG Sport Lowering Links
- Vossen HF3 Matte Black 22" - Factory Specs but aggressive offsets
- BimmerCode Coding for VIM, Alpina Dash, and much more!

Future Planned Mods:
- JL Audio 12" Subwoofer Box & Amp
- Full Nardo Grey Wrap (Still looking for a reputable company)
- BavSound Upgrades for Speakers
- Roof storage from Yakima

Here is a shoot we just did for Vossen... ENJOY and KEEP MODDING!

Gorgeous. What does the exhaust valve delete do? Does it sound like that cold start up exhaust all the time? (I’d like the option for that, but would love to have a button that switches back when I don’t want to hear it so loud or on long drives).

Thank You! - Yes - It's basically the "sport" mode sound all the time. On long drives on the freeway, there is no drone and you don't really hear it. The only button right now is to either be in sports mode or not to open/close the valve. I removed it so that it can be that way all the time, even in comfort mode.

Awesome build, absolutely love it. The wheels really set it off. I'm very partial to the all black look, I think it makes the G05 and the G07 really stand out. Yours is one of the best! Congrats on the build.

Thanks for the kind words! I hate All Black but it's growing on me. The first thing I wanted to do was wrap the car Nardo Grey but now I am on the fence about it because it's hard to find a really good car wrap company.

All black does require consistency and commitment in cleaning/detailing but there is truly nothing better than a clean black car.

Did you mean GLS? My father in law is considering one and I am curious how it compares size-wise to the GLS. Being larger than the GLE should be a given. I think even our X5 is larger than the GLE.

Also, did you do any suspension work on the GS-F? I've been considering picking up a lightly used one but it seems a bit too pedestrian in the handling department.

Looks great!!

I love the X7, I think its not only the perfect size it handles really well.

I had one for a few days as a loaner (X7 5.0) when my 750 was in for service, I was truly amazed and liked it better than my 7.

I was really shocked how well it took a fast sweeper and felt way flatter than my 7.

Definitely on our list to replace our X5.

That's one Bad Black Suv! I had a loaner X7 for a few days. I was really impressed with the ride, quiet cabin and luxury. And it was just the base model.
