M badging

For those with the M roadster or coupe.

What do you rock when it comes to the ///M badging?

If you know enough to appreciate the car, the quad exhaust says all that needs to be said. Most others are clueless.

I'm de-badged, as I like the clean look. If I were to add back an emblem, it'd be the one on the trunk lid.

Yeah, I had my 3er debadged and I loved the clean look - plus you'd get people asking about the car since it didn't say what it was on the back.

I think the side of the Z4 looks a bit busy with the M badge next to the hockey puck, so I think I'll remove those. Then it's just a question of do I remove the rear badge as well, do I leave the rear where it is, or do I relocate it to the lower right corner.

This post might sway me to debadging the M entirely. Mine's the same color, and it looks so clean with no badging.

X2 for the clean look and people asking. Added benefit of being much easier to wash/wax and not having to work around the badges. I removed all the "stick on" badges and now have only the BMW emblems.

All badges removed looks the cleanest IMHO. I did the same on my 5er. Granted, I don't have M vehicles.

Naked Z4 M

I'm de-badged but have been thinking about putting one on the ass. A lot of Germans have been adding 4 tip exhausts on 2.5, 3.0 and 3.0si. I go back and fourth on this, to badge or not to badge that is the question!

The majority, myself included, like the stock look but most people replying like to debadge Personally I will take anything I can get that shows my car is something more special that is either stock or tasteful. The look of the side badges also depends on color I think, and for interlagos blue I like the contrast it provides. I think the only way I would take mine off is if I replaced the whole front fender panels with something more exotic.

I like my M badges, I even added 5 more after I got the car (1 on the license frame, 4 on tire valve stem).

I don't know how a car becomes "clean" after a badge removal. I tend to keep my MC clean by washing and waxing.

And that's easier to do when the badges are gone.

What's up neighbor. What color is your M Coupe? I work in Rowland Heights and I keep seeing a silver and a white one in the area.

I agree with liking the M badges. Personally though, I think the car has enough stock.

howdy, I drive a white MC, with red interior.

There's also another white MC with red interior that I always see in Rowland Heights.

I like the badges, it's about the only thing that seperates the M form the base Z. Most people don't see the other differences. I did replace the rear badge with a M///POWER badge and add the 343HP under it. Here is a pic. Sorry, not a good pic but it looks very clean in person.

IMO that's too much, no need to display the Hp, and i also see ///M center caps and an M logo above the rear view mirror area.

Mine is stock (with regards to badges).

I did not like all the BMW badges, the steering wheel, the front, rear bonnett, the wheels and so on. So I replaced the wheels with M/// caps but did leave the rest of the BMW badges on the car. Most of us know the HP numbers on our M/// cars, but the average person does not even know what a M/// car is! I like the HP numbers on the car, it lets everyone know my car is not just another little "cute" roadster! Not knocking the base Z, but I find most people don't know the difference between a Z3, Z4 or what the M/// stands for. Hell, look at the Z06 vette, it has 505 HP on it's badges and I like that. I consider a Z4M is the performance model of BMW's Z4 like GM does the Z06 to a base C6 vette.
