New gas bbq recommendations

I have a decent 3 gas burner that’s around 10 years old, still works but a bit shabby these days.

I’m in the market for a new one, preferably a 3+ burner in the price range of £300 - £500.

Any ideas?

Gas is not a BBQ its an outdoor grill. Put on your big boy pants and learn to light a proper fire

I'd feel compelled to go on and on about it and I don't have the time.

On a more serious note, does pretty much everyone go 'Weber' these days? Seems to be the reassuringly expensive option.

Costco will likely have some huge options at a decent price. Get some hangover pizza down there and have a look around.

I got a 4 burner Outback about 4 years ago - continues to work well and is used year round.

Not much to say about it. It cooks, and it isn't broken

What does everyone do when a Vegetarian comes round or a Vegan at BBQ time?

We have a couple that bring their own Veggie sausages and the Mrs cooks then in the house on the grill.

No. I looked a few years back for a kettle and went with a Napoleon, much better than the Weber offerings. Though did pick up a Weber Master Touch for mum as the garden centre was selling it off at 115 quid instead of 280 that it was everywhere else. Weber are completely overpriced at normal prices imho. The MT is pretty decent tho but still not as good as my Napoleon.

My Weber has lasted me for 8 years so far and it's still going strong. They're not the cheapest but they're good and it's used throughout the year not matter the weather.

Veggies get some beyond meat burgers/sausages or another equivalent cooked in the oven if they're that worried about contaminating them with meat but most are happy it's cooked on the same grill. Vegans don't get invited (not necessarily on purpose, but we don't seem to have any close friends that are vegans)

I agree, on gas BBQ's that just cook with a bare flame, but ones that have the heat plates or lava rocks, which give the same flavour as a charcoal BBQ's by vaporising the dripping fats into smoke, are proper BBQ's and give flavour that you could never get in the kitchen.

I've got this Char-Broil one with the tru infrared heat plates, it is bloody fantastic!

I’ve had one of these for the last 5 years and it’s brilliant. Was unsure with it coming from Asda but it was superbly built and easy to put together. Has never let me down and sear station is brilliant for cooking steaks to perfection.

1) I genuinely do not have any vegan friends

2) vegetarians would have it made clear to them that the purpose of a bbq is to eat meat, meat and more meat. Whether they then choose to attend and cater for themselves would be entirely up to them.

What about an outback duel fuel, best of both worlds?

Dual fuel is a big option but I’ve not really seen any decent deals.

Isn't late August/September best time for a deal on bbqs when they are trying to get rid of old stock?
