How many of you are bored of your e90?
On paper, and in my mind, the e90 n52 is the perfect car (I even like the shitty 16inch OEM wheels, we really learn to love what is ours). Especially when considering all the mods: 3SI, m3 steering rack, etc
That said, when I am not driving, I am dreaming of other cars. Any of you bored of your e90 as well? Do you own any other cars where you don’t feel bored, even after years/decades of ownership? Selling it isn’t really a realistic option since I already put a fuck load of money and time into it. |

I don't get bored of mine personally. I like cosmetically modding it, keeps it interesting.
I do find a bone stock N52 E90 quite boring though.

I thought it was a boring car, but I was very pleased with oem performance, since my expectations were low.
It's not a n54 500whp 135i M 6mt, but for a non-sport car, its way more sportier than 99% of suv with the 'sport' sticker on it. In 2006 , 230hp was very acceptable , but for today's standard, I think 250hp+ on the E90 would be perfect for a 'reliable' daily. |

I'm not bored with mine but would love to make a couple changes like a Sport bumper and Style 437's. Performance wise it's a fun card to drive and I've had few issues with it as long as you stay current on the maintenance.

Not me. I've been driving an E90 for about 8 years (7+ years with my '08 328i, before she was killed by a moron pulling out of a parking lot into flowing traffic, and the past 6 months with my '06 330i).
The pre-LCI e90 is my favourite 3 series body style, and I LOVE the way these cars feel on the road. I look forward to driving her, and these are the first cars I've owned where on a nice, warm, summer day I gave a second thought to jumping on my Harley (the Harley always wins, but before the E90s, it was never even a consideration! ). When my 328i got wrecked, I specifically searched out a pre-LCI e90, with the goal of getting an '06 330i, which I did! As much as I loved the 328i, I love the 330i even more, and I've done a bunch of customization and programming on her to make her even better! I plan on keeping her for as long as possible. Cheers! |

Never! Love the e92 as like most bimmers, they're a timeless, classic style car. I love mine the same way I did the day I bought it near 6 years ago. #OnlyDriveGerman #BimmerLove

Yes and no lol, but I've had my car for over 9 years. I've been planning on selling it and using the money to buy an S2000 around December, but every time i go for a fun drive in the canyons, i fall back in love with my car. I'll probably just end up keeping it and buying an S2000 anyways.

After driving mine for 9 years now, I think the only car I'd consider trading it for is a 911. There's nothing else out there now with the same feel and driving enjoyment that the E90 has.

Nope.
I've had my manual 328i sport package for... 8? 9? years. It still drives like the day i bought it. It is fun to drive on the backroads, great crusier on the highway.... I think about what car I would replace my my "old" E90 with... I can't really say there are many cars on the market with much of any appeal to me. Without spending A LOT of money, there are not many everyday "drivers" cars. I love a manual car, and they are dying off... and even the manuals that are left, some of them are blah and some of them I have no interest in. Maybe one day an M or Porsche or something a little more "sporty and agressive" until then...its my E90. ...And my F-150!

Nope, as long as the roads get curvy the car is extremely fun to drive. Yes my brothers m240i has more power but unless you are in the countryside you can't use all the power and the practicality of a 4 door is amazing.

Given that my car has every option and is quite rare, I never get tired of it! Monaco on Saddle Brown sport E93 with the n54 and 6-speed manual. The only "mod" I've done was upgrade the CCC to the CIC and add the combox/apps. Having Pandora and Spotify in the car really freshens it up.

I dunno if bored is the right word, but when I am in other peoples' newer cars, they have features I wish I had. I do really enjoy driving my car though. Knowing that it drives the way it does because I've tailored it to my own experience is a great feeling.

After completing 388,580 miles as of parking last night, I'm not bored with my E90 whatsoever. I look forward to driving it every week.
Since I took delivery of the E90 in May 2006, I've acquired two other BMWs that now share daily driving duties with the 325i. Five years ago I bought a used Z4, and just last September, a 2005 E46 330Cic. I rotate between those 3 cars on a weekly basis, and I occasionally drive my wife's '97 Z3 just to give it some exercise. The E90 is my favorite. If I had kept my E30 and not sold it when I got the E90, it might be a tie between the two. IMO, I think the E90 is BMW's best iteration of the 3-series. I've driven all of them at one time or another and when they all were new cars.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I'm always dreaming of other cars but that doesn't mean I'm bored of my E92. I'd get a Ferrari 458 now or a M4 if I could afford it but I still like my E92 while I wait for that to happen.
