Could Anybody Identify This Wire in my E90?

I own a canadian 2007 328xi. The wire is located right beside the brake fluid reservoir. One picture shows it plugged in, however my car seems to have nothing to plug the wire into. Does anybody know what the wire is for?

That is the alarm hood sensor wire. All pre-lci cars came prewired from the factory for alarms.
