New front brake pads look different?

Hi!
Tonight I was going to change my front brake pads, but realised they look a bit different to the previous ones. They are missing the "clip" in the middle. Will they work anyway..?
Thanks!

They are fine. I was worried about the Textar pads for my 335i that did not have the clips. I installed them and the braking is like new.

The genuine pads are also like that. Fits fine but i still prefer having a clip on both pads for such a massive caliper

Unless it's an optical illusion, the new pad looks much bigger.
