Oil filler cap question
I have an '08 E93 68K miles. My oil filler cap, or possibly only the gasket, is leaking. I would like to replace the cap and gasket but how do I remove it without chipping the plastic and sending shards in to the engine?
Also is there a trick to attach a new cap? Thanx, Mikey P.S. Stay out of harm's (virus) way. |

If the oil pan is seeping/leaking, then maybe the loss of vacuum can contribute to leaks too. My oil pan is seeping and I don't want to bother with it for the moment. I just wipe up the oil film around the cap once in a while.
