Smile Dodo Juice Results

I got my package from Detailed Image today (thanks guys!) and had to try out my new products. I got the Dodo Juice Rubbish Boys Juiced Edition wax. That stuff smells incredible. A strong fruity-flowery smell reminding me of a mix of coconuts and hard candy! I was worried I would be swarmed by hungry bees applying it to my car.

I applied the wax with a foam applicator. It went on very light and smooth, almost invisible. And there's one problem: the jar is so small it's very difficult to get a foam applicator in there. In the future, I may have to scoop some out with a spoon and spread it out on a plate or something. Or I could stick a wick in it and have a nicely scented candle. The car now has a slight fruity smell, but I suspect that will go away fast.

Unfortunately, it isn't sunny in San Diego today, so the pics aren't going to show off the full effect. Maybe there will be more sun this weekend.

I just buffed and sealed the paint a couple weeks ago, so the paint was already in pretty good shape... here were my finishing touches.

Wash: Meguiar's Gold Class car wash
Glaze: CG Extreme EZ-Creme Glaze with Acrylic Shine II (I got this new, had to try it)
Seal: CG JetSeal 109
Wax: Dodo Juice Rubbish Boys Juiced Edition wax

Glaze and Seal applied with a Flex XC 3401 VRG using Lake County black pads. I reapplied the seal because I didn't know how much using the pad to apply the glaze would affect the seal I put on a couple weeks ago. The glaze job may not be perfect since there was already JetSeal on there, but I was excited to try it out!

ibimmer346 - thanks for sharing your results with the Dodo Juice Rubbish Boy's Juiced Edition Wax. I haven't had a chance to use the wax yet, so it was nice reading your post. The pictures speak for themselves, very crisp, deep and wet looking.

How would you compare the wax to other waxes you've tried? If you get around to applying a second coat of wax, let us know if that increases the depth and gloss even further. A lot of waxes benefit from a second coat after the first coat has fully cured.

Sounds like you found a winning combination with the Chemical Guys products topped with Dodo. Keep us updated on how it beads and maintains.

Thanks a lot for your support!

George

ditto...It looks great, and any recommendation from George is always solid with me, but I think I'll wait to see a few more reviews before I pull the trigger.

I purchased the Purple Haze and although it went on much like other concourse waxes I've used; I was surprised to find a lite fog/haze on the car the next day .......... almost as if I had never wiped it off the previous day. It sat for nearly 24 hours within a garage.

None the less, it does deliver a deep shine.

that's actually pretty common with my Natty Blue. I take some distilled water, stick it in the fridge overnight, then spray onto my car one section at a time. Wipe down and it's gone! It's a tip I got from George last year.

Is that along the same idea of using the CG speed wipe (pink quick detailer) ........... misting the car and wiping the wax off at the same time?

It's a good idea and I will give a try again this week. Thanks!

No, it's not really the same thing. What is does is reactivate the existing product on your car, allowing you to remove any excess. With the Natty Blue, I actually wait 24 hours before I do the cold misting thing. the haze is completely gone after I'm finished.
